Your Tea Party Headquarters on the Palouse!

The Palouse Liberty Project is your Tea Party organizer for Pullman, Moscow and the Palouse! Beginning with our simultaneous events in Pullman and Moscow on April 15, 2009, and with our upcoming event in Moscow on April 15, 2011, we have helped to raise awareness of the constitution, liberty and natural law through our rallies and monthly meetings. Our events have touched thousands, and it is possible that we are responsible for more overt political activism than any other group in our region, EVER.

April 15, 2011: TEA PARTY 4

Join us as we rally at Moscow, Idaho's Friendship Square where we will stand together as UNITED AMERICANS to protect the values and principles of the greatest nation ever created; Individual Rights, Limited Government, and above all else... LIBERTY! The event has a "soft start" at 5:30 PM, speakers begin at 6:00 PM

Please join us for what will certainly be the largest of our four events to date! Bring your family, friends and acquaintances and let our elected officials from all levels of government hear your voices and understand we will tolerate the erosion of our rights and liberties NO LONGER!

Please note: while we are all advocates of free speech without question, this is a family-friendly event, and we would very much appreciate it that any signs or placards reflect this fact. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

A Brief History...

On December 16, 1773, after officials in Boston refused to return three shiploads of taxed tea to Britain, a group of colonists calling themselves "The Sons of Liberty" boarded the ships and destroyed the tea by throwing it into Boston Harbor. The incident, which is known today as "The Boston Tea Party," remains an iconic event of American history and was a key event in the lead up to the American Revolution. Of course, the crisis escalated, and the American Revolutionary War began near Boston in 1775.

On February 19, 2009, CNBC anchor Rick Santelli, in a moment of venting frustration, uttered "The Rant Heard 'Round the World," taking the U.S. Federal Government to task for what he felt were policies of fiscal irresponsibility regarding monetary policy and financial bailouts.

On April 15, 2009, the first round of the modern era freedom rallies historically nicknamed "Tea Parties" took place. While the truth of the matter is that the exact number of protests and attendees will never be known, estimates indicate 750-1000 protests were held across the nation, and attendance estimates range from 250,000 to 670,000. In Pullman we drew 150-200 people, and in Moscow, over 300. For a politically-oriented rally in our area, these numbers are simply unheard of.

While the dual-city events went off well, our group's Board of Directors decided to make all future Tea Party events combined between the two cities. After a coin flip, Pullman was selected as our first venue, and on June 27, 2009, the Palouse Liberty Project (then known as the Palouse 9-12 Project) held our second Tea Party in Pullman. Although we ran into some competition with gorgeous Palouse weather as well as the impending national holiday, the event was well attended.

As events are now scheduled to rotate between the two cities, our next event is scheduled for Moscow, Idaho on April 15... please join us in Friendship Square and raise you voice for Individual Rights, Limited Government and LIBERTY!

Download, print and POST our flyers!

Please help us get the word out by printing these flyers at your local copy center and legally posting them where you can! We reccomend astrobright or neon paper, and it is always best to bring in the electronic file and print from that image, as the resulting copies will always look clean and more professional.

As in our previous events, we are COUNTING on YOU to get out and post these flyers! Our ever-so-open-minded detractors will destroy what we post daily, so we need an ARMY of pro-liberty volunteers canvassing their local areas and making sure our message is large and in charge for all to see!

Again, please observe all local rules and ordinances for posting materials, or if posting on a private bulletin board, respect the rights of the owner and other individuals posting their flyers. As much as we want to promote the event, let's be respectful of the law and of the natural rights of other individuals. The last thing we should do is violate our own values and principles to promote this event.

Thanks for the idea, Senator Reid...

One of the most completely out of touch elected officials in our nation today is the Honorable (?) Senator Harry Reid, who hails from the great State of Nevada.

Like most politicians, rather than listening to his constituents, Reid has been dissing the Tea Party movement since nearly day one, and narrowly managed his own election victory in 2010, a victory that was won only with the direct influence of Las Vegas unions. And you wonder why the democrat party supports unions at the expense of the average taxpayer. Well, wonder no longer. Unions have deep financial pockets, and when it comes to elections, they have major boots on the ground. No where else was the incestuous union presence felt more in an election cycle than Reid v. Angle in 2010

Following in the footsteps of Nancy Pelosi, who declared the Tea Party Movement as "Astroturf" (meaning we are not grassroots, but funded by large corporations and special interests) Harry Reid boldly dissed the Tea Party yet again, and predicted that as soon as the economy improves (and - according to him, it's improving "all the time") the Tea Party will simply disappear.

Join us on April 15 as we specifically show you how Harry Reid is wrong, and how you can personally keep the dream of limited, constitutional government alive.

And incidentally, going back to Pelosi's "Astroturf" comments, if you know of any evil corporations or special interests who would like to make substantial financial contributions to our efforts, please let us know. We've been doing these events on a shoestring budget for three years, and we'd really love the financial resources to do something bigger and better.

Social Networking Techniques you can use to help promote the Tea Party!

Facebook is a VERY POWERFUL TOOL for promoting these events, and WE NEED YOUR HELP! Here is a brief list of things you can do to help promote our efforts and ensure another successful event.

(1.) First and foremost, please visit our official Facebook Event Page.

(2.) Once you are on our official Facebook Event Page, look near the top, where you will see the title "Moscow/Pullman Tea Party 4." There, you will find three buttons. They say "I'm Attending," "Maybe," and "No." PLEASE click on "I'm Attending," which will help make the event page look great, but also post the event on your wall, where others can see it and (hopefully) decide to commit to attending as well.

(3.) Use the "Share" link. (also at the top of the page.) This will post an even more high profile link on your personal Facebook wall that others can read, and follow for themselves.

(4.) Use the "Invite" link. (Upper left-hand corner of the page, directly underneath the event graphic.) THIS IS POTENTIALLY THE SINGLE MOST POWERFUL TOOL YOU HAVE ON FACEBOOK because you can invite every FB friend you have so they can view our event page. Please use the invite link and invite your local friends to join us!!!

Using these free and powerful Facebook social netowrking tools will go a long way to helping us promote this event! THANK YOU in advance for your help!
